Kenzo, Nyamutoro make statement as Bebe cools in as Balaam bodyguard

While Bebe was cooling himself into Balaam's secret service agent, Edirisa Musuuza was doing the same for another minister Phiona Nyamutoro, albeit in a smitten way.

SECRET SQOOP | Ministers are assigned bodyguards and when Balaam Barugahara took the lectern to introduce NUP Masaka councillor Ali Katerega to President Museveni at State House, Entebbe, pictures did not lie.

Standing to the right of newly-sworn-in Youth and Children Affairs minister was a man in black with all the edifice of seasoned bodyguard.

At first, Secret Sqoop in attendance thought their eyes were playing them. Then they thought it was a lookalike. And finally they agreed that it was indeed Bebe Cool.

The man born Moses Ssali was so dapper even Barrack Obama's Secret Service would have been envious. He looked like he had invented adjectives like suave and debonair.

As Balaam explained how he had rehabilitated Katerega - although the rehabilitated man was still wearing unrehabilitated attire complete with the banned red beret - Agent Bebe Cool kept caressing his waist delicately like they do to confirm that their gun was in place.

He looked more serious than desert sunshine. Being on Balaam's right, the writing on the wall could not have been more apt for a right-hand man.

Secret Sqoop tried to confirm with Minister Balaam if the reality was real but he simply smiled benignly and said PLU is just for patriotism and Bebe Cool is a patriot.

Anyway, while Bebe was cooling himself in as Balaam's secret service agent, Edirisa Musuuza was doing the same for another minister Phiona Nyamutoro, albeit in a smitten way.

The man who is professional known as Eddy Kenzo was suited in a manner many undertakers would kill for. Black trouser, black shirt, black tie... but Nyamutoro appears to have betrayed him a bit by handing him a brown jacket to boot.

"The two definitely came together straight from home," a Sqoop said. "You can tell how a man dresses by the woman beside him."

While many give furtive glances at Sheila Gashumba's whatever on X and IG, it is to Nyamutoro dashing fashion sense that they return to and the young minister is rubbing that charm on Kenzo.

Last week, Kenzo and Nyamutoro attended a school VD together and it that was the confirmation that they are settled, the baptism came at State House with the Rev Canon Yoweri Museveni blessing it all.

Kenzo recently revealed that he has begotten a son and after Maya and Aamal, many are already guessing that the son is Nyamutoro's, the reason Kenzo might be spending all his time in Parliament lobby waiting to pick the minister with utmost chivalry.

"The two have become what the Congolese call 'pantalon mokaba' - that is the trouser-and-belt affair," a Sqoop said.

At the end of the event, Balaam had his secret agent and Nyamutoro had his Kenzo. And both youthful ministers are happier than quelea quelea (rice bird) in the harvest season.

The events happened as President Museveni was swearing in the newly-appointed ministers who attended with their families and special guests - plus a secret agent cum bodyguard!
