The management of Kitara FC has revealed that the club is still aiming to lift both the Uganda Premier League trophy and the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Kitara are currently second on the Uganda Premier League table with 36 points after a 2-0 victory over UPPC, thanks to goals from Living Kabon and Wahabu Gadaffi. They trail Vipers SC, the league leaders, who have 41 points, with both teams having played 17 matches.

Team captain Jasper Aheebwa expressed confidence in his squad, saying the team is fit and ready to compete for both titles, despite the club management initially setting a target of finishing in the top four. “Our team is performing well. The return of Living Kabon, Edson Agondeze, and the signing of Shaban Muhammad has been a huge boost to the club and our mission,” he said.

Club CEO Joshua Atugonza stated that the management’s goal is to win all remaining games. “We have everything it takes to win. We shall maximize our opportunities and use the full strength of our squad to compete,” he noted.

Kitara will face UPDF FC in their next fixture, which will be an away game.
