Prince Nakibinge applauds Saudi Arabia for her support to Uganda

The titular head of Muslims in Uganda Prince Kassim Nakibinge, has applauded the kingdom of Saudi Arabia for keeping and maintaining strong relationship with Uganda.

He made the remarks when the Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Uganda Bandar Alfif paid him a courtesy visit at his residence in Kibuli.

Nakibinge highlighted the benefits which Uganda has achieved because of the strong bond between the two countries ranging from education, health and other sectors.

“We are so appreciative and we know very well that His majesty donated a heart machine for Mulago heart institute, out of which we can now handle open heart surgery. We thank you for all the support and we are very grateful,” he said.

He also thanked the kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the good reception given to Ugandans who go to perform the annual pilgrimage in Mecca.

“We thank you for the reception we get when we go for Hajji and Umra. We are looked after very well," he said.

Nakibinge noted that any misunderstanding must always be addressed amicably and diplomatically but the acts of sabotage and terrorism cannot be tolerated in this modern world.

Bandar Alfif appreciated the reception given to him in Uganda and pledged that the strong relationship between the two countries will continue basing on the history.

"We know your history right from your fathers and grandfathers’ history so my visit is just to confirm that relationship. We are always very grateful about your feelings towards what happened to our country,” he said.
