While presenting the kits, Buganda Kingdom Minister of Local Government, Kabaka’s Tours and Diaspora Affairs, Joseph Kawuki, commended the Mid-West America community for their dedication.

“The Kabaka Birthday Run is aligned with the fourth development pillar, where men are encouraged to take the lead in protecting the girl child from HIV/Aids. It shows that even though we are spread across different regions, we remain united under one bond as loyal subjects of the Kabaka,” he said.

Minister Kawuki added that acquiring the running kits strengthens the broader mission of restoring Buganda’s prominence and called on all diaspora representatives to actively demonstrate their commitment to the Kingdom’s development.

He also urged participants to intensify HIV/Aids awareness efforts, emphasizing that the disease does not discriminate.

Participants will take part in the run across multiple states, including Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, and Chicago, with all venues fully prepared for the event.
