Three Remanded Over Full Figure Assault
Employees of MEI-LIN International Hotel in Nakasero have been sent to Luzira prison for allegedly helping the prime suspect in the brutal attack on presidential advisor Jennifer Nakanguubi, known as Full Figure, evade arrest.

Three employees of MEI-LIN International Hotel have been remanded to Luzira Prison over allegations that they aided Kennedy Nsubuga, the man accused of assaulting and robbing singer turned political mobiliser Jennifer Nakanguubi, popularly known as Full Figure.

Juma Kakooza, Jessy Lugeya, and James Asiimwe appeared before Buganda Road Court on Thursday, where Grade One Magistrate Winnie Nankya remanded them pending further proceedings.

Prosecution alleges that the trio knowingly assisted Nsubuga to escape arrest despite his being wanted by the Uganda Police Force for violently attacking Full Figure.

The assault occurred on August 29 along Kyadondo Road, as Full Figure was heading to a press conference organized by businessman Moses Kalangwa.

Reports indicate she was attacked by a group led by MP hopeful Justine Nameere and her husband, who allegedly beat her, robbed her of a mobile phone and Shs500,000, and left her with severe injuries including a swollen face, puffed lips, and black eyes.

Full Figure described the attack as an attempt to humiliate and silence her politically.

Kampala Metropolitan Police confirmed that the case was registered at KMP headquarters as a robbery.

SSP Patrick Onyango, Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson, said detectives had already visited the scene, interviewed witnesses, and launched a manhunt for the suspects.

“The investigation is progressing, and those who aided the suspects to evade justice will also face the law,” Onyango said.
