Minister of State for Mineral Development Phiona Nyamutoro has kicked off a three-day official visit to the districts of Moyo, Terego, and Yumbe in the West Nile region.
The visit aims to engage district and community leaders, inspect ongoing mineral development projects, and foster dialogue on sustainable utilization of mineral resources.
As part of her visit, Minister Nyamutoro will meet with local leaders to discuss ways to promote sustainable mineral development, which will benefit the local communities and the country at large. She will also inspect ongoing projects, assessing their progress and identifying areas for improvement.
The Minister's visit comes at a time when the government is keen on developing the mineral sector, which has the potential to contribute significantly to Uganda's economic growth.
As Minister of State for Mineral Development, Nyamutoro plays a crucial role in overseeing the development of the sector.
