Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Donald Muhwezi has clarified that the Joint Anti-Terrorism Taskforce (JATT) operates like any other security agency, with its primary role being the protection of people and their property.

While appearing on NBS Barometer , a political talk show, SSP Muhwezi emphasised that JATT functions within the broader security framework and should not be viewed differently from other agencies tasked with maintaining law and order.

“JATT is a security apparatus like others, mandated to ensure the safety of citizens and their property. Its operations align with the collective goal of securing the country,” he said.
