In a high-stakes court appearance, Abdul Rashid Kyoto, also known as Njovu, faced another day of legal proceedings at Nakawa Chief Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
The Chief Magistrate, Erias Kakooza, announced an unexpected adjournment, citing ongoing investigations into the case.
"This is a special case because the investigations are still ongoing. The suspect is further remanded," Kakooza said.

Njovu's arrest on November 6, 2023, following an operation by UPDF marine forces on Lake Edward, marked a significant breakthrough in the case.
During the operation, two of Njovu's associates linked to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) were killed.
