Movit Products Limited has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to Ugandan families with the launch of its #NewTermNewYou campaign, aimed at easing the financial pressure parents face as children return to school.

Speaking during NBS Breakfast Meeting on Wednesday, Mary Kobusingye, Corporate Affairs Manager at Movit Uganda, highlighted the company’s deep roots in the communities it serves and its continued focus on supporting families beyond product manufacturing.

“For over two decades, families have supported us, and our commitment is to continue supporting them both in their homes and in their communities. We go beyond producing products by giving back to the communities that have supported us, including investing in education and infrastructure,” she said.

Kobusingye noted that the back-to-school period often places significant strain on household budgets, especially after long holidays when families must stretch limited resources to cover multiple needs.

“After a long holiday, families are working with one budget that now has to stretch to cover back-to-school needs like uniforms, personal care, and daily essentials,” she said.

Kobusingye emphasized that while school fees and uniforms are often prioritized, personal care products are equally essential to a child’s wellbeing, confidence, and hygiene.

“Beyond school fees, personal care items are daily necessities that children need for hygiene, confidence, and overall wellbeing. Brushing teeth, bathing, and moisturizing are basic routines that children cannot do without, yet they are often overlooked during back-to-school preparations,” she said.

Through the #NewTermNewYou campaign, Movit is encouraging parents to make smart, value-driven choices by purchasing products they already need while enjoying savings and rewards.

“With the #NewTermNewYou campaign, we are supporting parents to save money while buying products they already need. Parents are going to buy personal care items anyway, so we are saying buy them from MOVIT and get rewarded at the same time,” she said.

Kobusingye called on parents and guardians across the country to take advantage of the campaign as they prepare children for the new school term.

“We want parents to take advantage of the #NewTermNewYou campaign, save money, and still meet all the back-to-school needs for their children,” she said.

The #NewTermNewYou campaign underscores Movit Uganda’s continued focus on family wellbeing, affordability, and community support—values that have guided the company’s operations for more than 20 years.
