Mubende Chief Magistrate Remands Three Officials on Corruption Charges

Three Mubende district officials face charges of negligence of duty and conspiracy to commit a felony. Acting District Health Officer Ssendikaddiwa John Bosco, District Engineer Muzibira Johnbaptist, and District Engineer (Buildings) Kamya John were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Unit on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024.

The arrests stem from alleged mismanagement of funds at Kibaliinga Health Centre III. The officials are accused of misappropriating 33 million shillings.

Magistrate Paul Keddi remanded all three to Kaweeri Prison until their next court appearance scheduled for April 30th, 2024.
