URA Commissioner General Doris Akol has expressed her support for the Uganda Cranes ahead of the African Cup of Nations
Uganda will start its Africa Cup of Nations campaign against DR Congo on Saturday 22nd June 2019 at the Cairo International Stadium in Egypt.
The URA Commisioner Genral Doris is among many prominent figures in the country that have come out strongly to show support for the Cranes already camping in Egypt
In her statement she says,” Qualifying for back to back AFCON tournaments is such a powerful accomplishment. The Uganda Cranes and FUFA have worked long and hard to get our country to this position."
She goes on, "Our national team should therefore kick off the AFCON 2019 campaign knowing that Ugandans from all walks of life are unreservedly cheering them on.
"We at Uganda Revenue Authority are rooting for you Uganda Cranes believing with utmost affirmation that you will go all the way,” Akol says.
Uganda Cranes will be hoping to turn out an impressive performance having scored one goal and picked only one point in their previous AFCON experience that was held in Gabon.
The Africa Cup of nations will kick off on Friday, 20th June 2019 with hosts Egypt taking on Zimbabwe at the Cairo International Stadium.
