"This limited funding hampers the effectiveness of our ambulance services in the Greater Masaka region," Dr. Elima said. The hospital is struggling to provide adequate emergency services, putting patients' lives at risk.

The hospital's struggles are not limited to ambulance services. It also faces staffing shortages, with only 21% of the required personnel, and unreliable power supply, which affects medical surgeries and oxygen supply.
