Police clamp down on "illegal" vehicles entering Jinja city

Security officials in Jinja have decided to register all motor vehicles entering Jinja City. This comes due to the increasing number of vehicles entering the city purportedly belonging to essential workers.

Acting Police Commander Jinja  Central Division Maurice Niyonzima revealed that they have impounded a number of vehicles with fake stickers.

Police said there has been increase in the number of illegal vehicles in Jinja City.

A number of vehicles were impounded including those with excess passengers and parked at Nalufenya Police station.
