Police are investigating circumstances under which a fifty years old man committed suicide inside a cell where he had been detained.
According to Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Luke Oweyesigyire, Lubega Mudu ,50, a resident of Makindye Sabagabo was found dead on Sunday morning.
"He had been arrested on charges of threatening violence but was found dead after he committed suicide by hanging inside a police cell at Milimu police post in Ndejje,"Oweyesigyire said.
This website has however learnt separately that the deceased used his shirt to hang himself.
He said the body has been taken to Mulago for a post mortem as police investigates the circumstances that led to his death.
