VIDEO: Bwanika claims Besigye hates him for advising Bobi Wine not to join FDC

Shortly after the Forum for Democratic Change declared an investigation into the attack on their former president Dr Kizza Besigye which happened last week, several opposition leaders have openly asked FDC to drop the investigation on something they termed as a small matter.

Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament Betty Nambooze Bakireke and People’s Democratic Party President Dr Abed Bwanika have asked FDC to drop the intended investigations over Dr Kizza Besigye’s attack last week at Bulange.

The duo who were hosted on the Morning Breeze show said, other opposition leaders have also suffered attacks and even lost their lives but the opposition did not let those tragedies distract them. They have now asked their counterparts to focus on opposition attempts to bring better governance to Uganda.

It is here that Bwanika declared that his clashes with Besigye are as a result of his advice to Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu not to join FDC. Bwanika went on to claim that Besigye has accused him of supporting President Yoweri Museveni because of this advice to Kyagulanyi.

The PDP president went on to inform the discussion that he has warned opposition figures that Dr Besigye will become a stumbling block in their ranks if he fails to rally behind Kyagulanyi. Nambooze disagrees with this position and said so on the show.

Nambooze instead accused Bwanika of trying to demoralise their struggle to change the country with his obession for the opposition to field a single presidential candidate in the 2021 polls.

She asked all opposition figures to concentrate on fighting for the rights of ordinary Ugandans to bring about the change the country desperately needs.
