VIDEO: MPs Basalirwa, Ssewanyana arrested on way to pick up Bobi Wine
Bugiri Municipality MP, Asuman Basalirwa and Makindye West MP, Allan Ssewanyana were today morning arrested by police as they tried to go to Entebbe airport to pick up Robert Kyagulanyi (aka Bobi Wine).
Kyagulanyi is scheduled to jet into the country today from the US where he had gone to seek treatment. He was expected to touch down at 12.45 PM.

Ssewanyana told us that they were arrested at a check point at Kitooro, roughly three kilometres from the airport.
They are being held at a police post near the airport.
He was driven back to his home. From Entebbe, Kyagulanyi is expected to visit his ailing grandmother at Najjanankumbi before proceeding to Kamwokya to have lunch with his family.
Relatedly, a number of journalists who were trying to make their way to the airport were arrested.
