In fourth grade, he designed and built working models of a helicopter, jet engine, and bird-inspired mechanism. Although his innovative spirit was evident, the lack of resources and support forced him to rechannel his energy into other pursuits.
It was during this time that Waya Boy discovered his love for dance. Joining a dance group called Light Fact in grade 6, he honed his skills in B-boying and breakdancing. This experience not only helped him develop his creativity but also taught him the value of perseverance and teamwork.
Waya Boy's musical journey officially began in 2017 when he formed a trial music group with friends. His first recording experience in a studio marked the beginning of an incredible journey.
Fast-forward in 2020, Waya Boy launched his solo career with the song "Hullo," which premiered on Jam 101 on UBC TV.
