With Kampala having more than five concerts over the weekend which all sold out, one stood out.
This was the one of Lord Fred Sebatta at Kampala Serena Hotel as the Kadongo Kamu singer celebrated 42 years of doing music.
The legendary artist does not usually do concerts like other artists and the last had was more than ten years ago and staging the 42-years-of-Lord Fred Sebatta was special that it needed the best in the business.
Earlier on during his press conference, the Matendo guitar musician had noted how veteran music producer, singer and Fenon Entertainment/events proprietor Steve Jean produced some of his biggest songs.
“I would like to thank Steve Jean. He loved Kadongokamu and he suggested that we change something in the beats and rhythm of the song. I argued about it but finally gave in and allowed him to do what he does best, and when Steve Jean presented the finished sample, the project was amazing. He worked on my timeless song ‘Nalwewuuba’ but you can see people dancing to it in clubs flowing smoothly without tampering with the beats,” Sebatta said.
Sebatta further added that Steve Jean together with the late Timothy Kizito further worked on the famous ‘Doole Yo’mwana’ song as well.
This relationship had Fenon Events handle the entire production at Sebatta’s show last Friday at Serena and as expected the production house delivered to expectation.
From the stage set up, the lights and the sound gave the audience and the artiste a good feel of the show.
Sebatta brought a nostalgic feeling to Serena after doing songs like Nalwewuuba, Nabawanuka, Bamulya Asooka, Doole Yomwana, Enkumbi Eyamba and Gologosa among others.
It was not only the old who enjoyed the concert as many, including youths were seen dancing to the classics by Sebatta.
It was a nice evening out for many at Serena as Sebatta turned the wheels back in time.
