UCU Mbale Campus to Graduate 580 at 26th Graduation Ceremony
Uganda Christian University’s Mbale Campus will hold Part Four of its 26th Graduation Ceremony tomorrow, with 580 students, including top performers, set to receive degrees under the guidance of Chief Guest Lady Justice Catherine Bamugemereire.

Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mbale Campus will tomorrow, Friday, November 28, 2025, hold Part Four of its 26th Graduation Ceremony, during which 580 students are expected to graduate.

The event will be held at the Mbale Campus and presided over by Lady Justice Catherine Bamugemereire, who will serve as Chief Guest.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday at Mbale Courts View Hotel, the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Rev Prof John Mulindwa Kitayimbwa, highlighted the university’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic education.

He was joined by the Chairperson of the Mbale Campus Governing Council and Bishop of Bukedi Diocese, Rt Rev George Bogere Egesa, acting principal Vincent Kisenyi, and College Secretary Dorothy Amon Kaka.

The graduating class consists of 291 male students (51%) and 289 female students (49%), reflecting a near-equal gender distribution. Seven students attained First Class Honours, demonstrating exceptional academic performance.

Elsie Masette Wokuri, graduating with a Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration and a CGPA of 4.68, was named the overall best-performing student.

The best male student is Abdul Nasser Majid Matege, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a CGPA of 4.62.

Earlier today, the graduands were officially commissioned during a service at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Mbale, presided over by the Bishop of Mbale Diocese, Rt Rev John Wilson Nandaah.

The ceremony emphasized Christian values, integrity, and servant leadership, which remain central to UCU’s mission.

Ahead of tomorrow’s graduation, the university reminded parents, graduands, and invited guests to adhere to the UCU dress code and dress appropriately for the occasion.
