David Muledhu, the purported National Executive Secretary of the self-styled Uganda Boys Scouts Association, was on Thursday arraigned before the Makindye Magistrate’s Court in connection with the violent takeover of the Kaazi Scouts Centre.
The arraignment was conducted by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit in collaboration with the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).
Muledhu faces multiple charges, including unlawful occupation of land belonging to another, malicious damage to property, conspiracy to commit a felony, forcible detainer, and forcible entry.
He becomes the eighth suspect in the case, joining Patrick Buragahare Mujuni, Stephen Butumbwire, John Mugisha, Stephen Brian Musoke, Alex Mununuzi, Michael Richard Orwanga, and FraProsecutions, who had earlier been charged over the same incident.
The group is accused of violently seizing the National Camping and Scouts Centre at Kaazi–Busaabala, Masajja Division, Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality, on June 24, 2025.
According to prosecutors, the takeover disrupted operations of the Uganda Scouts Association and caused extensive damage to property.
Muledhu was remanded until September 1, 2025, when the case will return to court for further proceedings.
