Sanni, Mona Muguma re-elected on board as Stanbic declares final dividend

Stanbic Uganda Holdings Limited has re-elected Yinka Sanni and Mona Muguma Ssebuliba to its board while a final dividend of Shs4.30 per share for the financial year ended December 31, 2025.

‎The resolutions were passed during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Friday, at Kampala Serena Hotel and via electronic means.

‎At the AGM, shareholders adopted the audited financial statements for the year ended 31st December 2025, together with the reports of the Directors and External Auditors.

‎They also approved the board’s recommendation to declare a final dividend of Shs4.30 per share, payable on or about July 30, 2026 to shareholders on the register as at close of business on 6th July 2026.

‎The AGM re-elected Mr Sanni as Non-Executive Director and Mrs Mona Ssebuliba as Independent Non-Executive Director in line with article 93 of the articles of association.

‎Ernst & Young, Uganda (EY) were appointed External Auditors for the period up to the next AGM, with directors authorised to set their remuneration.

Shareholders also approved fees for independent Non-Executive Directors.

‎The meeting further noted the resignation of Mr Patrick Mweheire and Mr Guido Haller from the board of Stanbic Bank Uganda Limited.

‎Mr Sanni, a veteran banker with nearly three decades of experience in investment banking, capital raising and advisory, currently serves within the Standard Bank Group, Africa’s largest banking group by assets.

He previously led Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC and pioneered Stanbic IBTC Asset Management and Pension Managers, growing them into leading financial institutions in Nigeria.

‎He holds degrees from the University of Nigeria, Obafemi Awolowo University, and has completed executive programmes at Harvard Business School, INSEAD and MIT Sloan.

‎Mrs Ssebuliba has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer of aBi Finance Limited, where she has led growth in development financing and financial inclusion initiatives.

She is recognised for her work in green finance and ESG frameworks in Uganda’s financial sector.

‎She also serves as Board Chair of Stanbic Properties Limited and the Renewable Energy Business Incubator (REBI), and sits on several boards.

She holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a Bachelor’s degree from Makerere University Business School.
