Nile Breweries has renewed its partnership with the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU), committing to support the 2025 PRAU Run and a series of professional and community-focused events aimed at advancing public relations and wellness in Uganda.

Nile Breweries Limited has reaffirmed its longstanding partnership with the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU), pledging support for the 2025 PRAU Run and other key initiatives aimed at empowering professionals and promoting community wellbeing.

The announcement was made at Nile Breweries' headquarters in Luzira, where executives from both organisations underscored their shared commitment to wellness, professional excellence, and social impact.

Nile Breweries Corporate Affairs Manager Emmanuel Njuki praised the collaboration, noting that it builds on years of shared values between the brewer and Uganda’s leading PR body.

He highlighted the company’s broader mission of sustainability and social responsibility.

“As Nile Breweries, we are passionate about brewing a better world,” Njuki said.

“Our partnership with PRAU aligns with our mission to support initiatives that uplift lives and create positive change. We believe in the power of communication and public relations to shape a better society.”

PRAU President Irene Nakasiita thanked Nile Breweries for its consistent support, especially during key moments in the Association’s calendar.

“Nile Breweries has consistently proven to be a true partner of progress,” Nakasiita said.

“We thank them for walking this journey with us—empowering professionals, promoting physical wellness through the PRAU Run, and strengthening the voice of PR in Uganda.”

The 2025 PRAU Run, a flagship event now in its third year, is expected to draw hundreds of communications professionals, students, corporate teams, and wellness enthusiasts.

Funds raised from the run will support PRAU’s community outreach efforts and professional development initiatives under the theme “PR Miles, Vibrant Voices, Compelling Forces.”

In addition to the run, Nile Breweries will support other milestone events in the Association’s calendar, including the PRAU Symposium, the Masterclass Series, and the PRAU Excellence Awards.

These events serve as platforms for knowledge sharing, recognition, and capacity building in Uganda’s communications industry.

The partnership reflects a broader trend of corporate entities aligning with professional bodies to drive impact beyond business.

For PRAU, the continued support from Nile Breweries signals the growing relevance of public relations in shaping Uganda’s development agenda.

As the countdown to the 2025 PRAU Run begins, organisers say they expect an even bigger turnout and deeper engagement with communities across the country.
