Centenary Bank awarded 2022 Digital Brand of Year at the Digital Impact Awards Africa

Centenary Bank has been awarded gold as the Digital Brand of the Year at the recently concluded Digital Impact Awards Africa held at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

This is the second time the bank has scooped the award having won it in 2018.

Centenary Bank also won the Diamond Awards in Community/MFI Banking Innovation Excellence (Agency Banking services) and Banking Innovation Excellence (CenteMobile Loans) categories.

While speaking about the awards, Micheal Bulyerali the Digital Communications manager said Centenary Bank has over the years made remarkable strides in the digital sphere by focusing on providing solutions that meet their customers changing needs in a secure and convenient manner.

"Centenary Bank is a people’s bank and it for this reason that we strive to carter for the need of especially the rural population by leveraging technology. These awards are a testimony that we are indeed on the right path to providing appropriate financial solutions in line with our mission," he noted.

He said the awards are also a challenge for the bank to continue being innovative, to remain competitive in this digital era.

"We are challenged to ensure that our digital banking and communication channels evolve so as to enhance our customers experience to aid adoption and promote financial inclusion for all Ugandans," he said.
