Collecting toll fees at Entebbe expressway still on for 18 years – UNRA

Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has maintained that payment of toll fees at the Entebbe expressway will not stop until more than 18 years.

According to the parliamentary interface with UNRA officials, the US$ 476 million (Shs. 1.853 trillion) loan from the Exim Bank of China is still raw.

However, legislators questioned UNRA about the inconveniences on the road especially when President Museveni is passing by.

“What’s the logic behind closing two lanes at Entebbe expressway whenever President Museveni is using the road yet the president doesn’t pay toll fees when using the expressway?” asked Busiro east legislator Medard Lubega Ssegona
