The signing marks a significant step in the 19-year-old forward’s football career.

Alpha has been steadily gaining recognition for his talent and now joins NEC FC as the club seeks to strengthen its squad for upcoming competitions.

The Lugogo-based NEC FC confirmed the signing of Ssali, who joins from Express FC, where he played for one and a half seasons after joining the Red Eagles on August 12, 2023.

However, Alpha struggled for consistent playing time at Express this season, often finding himself on the fringes during the first round of games.

Recently, Alpha had trials in Spain, supported by his father, who indicated that his son would return to complete the season in Uganda.

At NEC FC, Alpha will offer support to the team’s wide attacking options, which already include experienced players like Paul Mucureezi and James Jarieko.

Bebe Cool encouraged his son to stay focused and maintain his humility.

“The journey is just beginning. Stay focused, remain humble, trust in Allah, and always strive for excellence,” he said.

NEC FC, currently in second place on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table with 33 points, will open the second round of the season against KCCA FC on February 13, 2025.

The Soldier Boyz hope that Alpha’s addition will enhance their attacking lineup as they push for a successful second half of the season.

Football fans will undoubtedly keep an eye on Alpha as he embarks on this new chapter of his career.
