Kutesa labelled the allegations as fake news.

Kutesa said that if any officials have been denied visas, they are being targeted as individuals and the ban does not apply to the country.

Kutesa said that it is the right of any country to deny a visa application in case the person seeking entry is deemed an undesirable on its territory.

He said that Uganda is actually working with many countries to ensure that its officials have access to long term visas that allow entry for ten years and beyond.

He said that the unfounded allegations of visa denials for government officials will not affect the country's ability to attract investors or travel to market it.
