Patrick Mugisha, a city lawyer, who was arrested on June 31 by operatives from Internal Security Organisation (ISO, resurfaced on Sunday night.
Mugisha who works for Mwesigwa, Mugisha and Co Advocates was reportedly taken to a safe house in Kyengera over yet to be established reasons, according to his family.
On Saturday, Uganda Law Society issued a statement condemning the arrest and imploring ISO to release the lawyer.
Martha Atukunda, Mugisha's daughter said her father Mugisha was "abducted" by a plain clothed men from his chambers in Muyenga and whisked off in a Pick Up double cabin Reg No. UAQ597K.
CCTV footage showed three men in plain clothes leading him out of his office.
Another family member told Nile Post at night that Mugisha confirmed to them that he was arrested by Internal Security organisation(ISO).
However, the reason for his arrest is not yet known.
A case of missing person was reported at Kabalagala police station.
