Centenary Bank Uganda has donated 15 sets of computers to Kyaggwe County, a gesture aimed at improving the county’s operations and efficiency.
The Kyaggwe County Chief, Vincent Matovu Bintubizibu, expressed his gratitude to the bank, highlighting its timely support to Buganda Kingdom and Kyaggwe in particular.
“We thank Centenary Bank for thinking of us and providing this vital equipment,” he said during the handover ceremony. Sekiboobo Matovu disclosed that the donated computers would be distributed to all sub-counties in Kyaggwe.
He emphasized their intended use in enhancing business operations and maintaining official county data. He warned that any sub-county administrator found misusing the equipment would face consequences, including the reallocation of the computers to other sub-counties.
Eng. Isaac Musoke of Kauga IV Sub-County expressed his appreciation for the equipment. He highlighted the challenges faced in safeguarding and managing official documents and remarked that the computers would provide much-needed relief.
Centenary Bank General Manager for Retail and Microfinance, Charles Kabanda Ssentamu, commended the strong partnership between the bank and Buganda Kingdom.
He noted that the donation underscores Centenary Bank’s commitment to supporting the community’s development initiatives.
“This donation is expected to streamline administrative processes and foster growth within Kyaggwe County,” said Ssentamu.
