Despite being on the verge of qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has voiced his dissatisfaction with the recent performance of the Uganda Cranes, the country’s national football team.

Lukwago, a passionate football supporter, believes the team’s recent displays have been underwhelming, even as they edge closer to achieving a spot in the prestigious continental tournament.

During an interview on NBS SPORT this morning  , Lukwago expressed concern over the Cranes’ lack luster form, suggesting that their performance on the pitch does not match the expectations of their fans or the potential of the team.

“We might be on the brink of qualification, but we must face the truth our team is not performing up to par,” he stated.
