The Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Mubaje, has called upon the Muslim community to actively work and seize investment opportunities in the country for its development.

Mubaje made this appeal during the handover ceremony of iftar food items by Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) to the leadership of the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council at Old Kampala.

In his address, Mubaje urged Muslims and all Ugandans to prioritize work instead of succumbing to negative influences.

He expressed gratitude to DTB for their donation of iftar items, emphasizing its significance in supporting those in need during the month of Ramadan.

"By actively engaging in work, you will not only create wealth but also assist numerous Ugandans and fellow Muslims in overcoming poverty," stated Mubaje.

Representing DTB, Andrew Musanje, the head of Branches and Channels, reaffirmed the bank's commitment to providing inclusive financial services to all individuals.

He also assured DTB's ongoing support for the Muslim community, particularly during significant occasions like Ramadan.

"As DTB, we have consistently contributed to the well-being of the Muslim community. Today, we have chosen to collaborate with Old Kampala Muslim Mosque, one of our esteemed business partners, to extend our support," stated Musanje.

Mubaje expressed his appreciation to DTB for their generous act, emphasizing its positive impact on strengthening the relationship between the bank and the Muslim community.

He further encouraged all district Khadis to embrace DTB's products and services, revealing that all mosques across the country have been provided with DTB accounts for their use.
