The two singing giants of Moses Ssali also known as Bebe Cool and Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine on Friday buried the hatched and shook hands as a sign of unity.
This was during the concert to mark 10 years in the music industry for singer Eddy Kenzo at the Kampala Serena hotel.
Both singers, Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool have walked different paths for the past years on a number of issues and the latest being politics in which the latter canvasses support for President Museveni which is in direct conflict with the Kyadondo East Legislator’s interests.
However, on Friday night, fans were thrown into frenzy when the two sworn enemies came shook hands in front of Buganda Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga during the 10 years of Kenzo concert.
It started when Bebe Cool arrived and later to find his nemesis already seated and sharing a table with Mayiga before greeting both of them.
He later reached out for Bobi Wine’ hand for a handshake.
Looking into each other’s eye, both singers held a firm gentleman’s handshake presenting a spectacular moment prompting supporters ululated whereas others clapped.
They later hugged each other to show that they will always remain brothers despite walking different paths.
“It is a sign of respect and maturity from both singers,” said one of the revelers at Serena.
Speaking about the ‘unification’ entertainment presenter Douglas Lwanga described the moment as the beginning of a new era.
“Now we can also have fans of both artists sit on the same table and resolve their differences,”Lwanga said on his social media pages.
Fellow music legend, Joseph Mayanja, also known as Jose Chameleon also welcomed the unification saying it is was the music industry deserves and not fights.
“This is the perfect type of nation we all love to see, even for our fore children. I am feeling so happy to see that Music has again brought my two brothers under siege where unity was inevitable. Thanks Eddie Kenzo for practicing a good heart that has brought these two brothers of mine into a moment that we have all been waiting for,” Chameleon posted on his facebook page.
“We cannot use religion, race, ethnics or whatsoever to define ourselves if we want to build a prosperous nation. Mr. Ssali Moses, Mr. Kyagulanyi Kudos.”
Chameleon asked his fellow musicians to do a song together that he said would make the country dance to their music together.
