Eng. Moses Magogo,  the president of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA), has brought to light concerns regarding the expertise of consultants overseeing the renovations at Namboole Stadium.

Magogo expressed apprehension over the Ministry of Works' consultant lacking expert engineers in stadium civil works, prompting an appeal to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to conduct another inspection of Namboole Stadium.

Addressing the controversy surrounding Mandela National Stadium, Magogo informed parliament that the consultant engineer on-site lacks proficiency in stadium works, raising doubts about the quality of the renovations.

"There are mistakes in the much-hyped renovated Mandela stadium, Namboole," Magogo disclosed.

The discord between Minister Ogwang and Magogo further escalated as they found themselves at odds over the stadium renovations, drawing attention from Members of Parliament (MPs) who emphasized a longstanding impasse between FUFA and the Ministry of Education.

Despite efforts to address the situation, a motion to involve FUFA in the Ministry of Education's renovation of Namboole Stadium was dropped after the minister urged parliament to allow the executive to handle the matter.
