Kampala’s popular Monday nightlife experience, Useless Mondays, celebrates its first anniversary tonight at Mezo Noir, with premium tequila brand Don Julio joining the festivities.
Hosted by DJ Dash, the weekly event has grown into one of the city’s most attended nightlife experiences, attracting revellers looking to shake off the start-of-week blues with music, entertainment and socialising.
To mark the milestone, Don Julio will showcase its premium tequila range, including Blanco and the sought-after Don Julio 1942, adding to what organisers promise will be a memorable night.
Speaking ahead of the celebration, Ms Judie Nandekya, the Senior Brand Manager for Tequila and Rum East Africa, said the partnership between Don Julio and Useless Mondays has helped create memorable experiences for Kampala’s nightlife enthusiasts.
“The Useless Mondays anniversary celebration is definitely going to be lit. We are proud to have been at the centre of Mezo Noir’s journey in curating this night. As a brand that celebrates memorable moments, we are excited to recognise the impact this experience has had on Kampala’s nightlife scene. Don Julio is about celebration and elevated experiences, and tonight we are turning up to shake off the Monday tension in our known style,” she said.
The event will kick off at 7pm and run into the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The entertainment lineup features DJ Spinny, a Don Julio 1942 influencer, alongside host and Don Julio ambassador DJ Dash, as well as Kash Pro, City Girl, Kwesta 43, DJ Scarz and Edwizzy Selekta. Revellers can also expect one of the signature back-to-back sets from Spinny and Dash.
With tomorrow being a public holiday, organisers say the anniversary edition offers Kampala partygoers an opportunity to enjoy a late night out without worrying about an early morning start the next day.
