Beverage company, Coca Cola Beverages Uganda(CCBU) has  reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and celebrating Uganda’s cultural diversity.

Speaking during the launch of this year’s edition of Makerere University Business School(MUBS)’s annual cultural gala on Tuesday, Macklean Kukundakwe, the Country Lead for Trade and Marketing at Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda said the MUBS cultural gala embodies Uganda’s cultural diversity which is at the company’s heart.

“This platform embodies richness and diversity of Uganda’s culture and traditions. With over 56 tribes, Uganda enjoys a diversity in culture and as a beverage company, we celebrate these cultures from the North, South, East, West and Central among other regions of the country,” Kukundakwe said.

She said by sponsoring such events like the MUBS cultural gala, CCBU also seeks to empower the next generation.

“We support such platforms in a bid to celebrate talent, creativity and passion. We are committed to supporting the young generation whether through music, dances or storytelling, we are ready to uplift the young talent.”

According to Kukundakwe, during the cultural gala, there will be different Coca Cola experience zones where students will interact with the brand.

The MUBS guild president, Moses Amanya said the cultural gala aims to celebrate the cultural diversity at the institution of higher learning.

He also announced that singers Vinka and Fik Fameica will headline the event.

The MUBS cultural gala is set for April, 4.
