The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa, has launched the district NRM Youth Mobilisation Brigade ahead of President Museveni’s visit to Mitooma District tomorrow, December 3, 2025.
Tayebwa inaugurated the brigade on Tuesday as final preparations were underway for the President’s campaign rally.
“This energetic and committed team is already active, forming a crucial pillar of the upcoming campaign effort,” he said.
Speaking at a coordination meeting at Kirambi Ruhinda Market, Tayebwa noted that district NRM leaders, joined by King Ceasor Mulenga, had fine-tuned plans for the visit, describing the meeting as “charged with confidence and unity.”
According to Tayebwa, the brigade’s mandate is to conduct door-to-door mobilisation, rally their peers, and ensure the campaign spirit reaches every village in Mitooma.
The youth force is expected to deliver overwhelming support not only for President Museveni’s visit but also for all NRM flag bearers in the district.
“With the youth now on the ground, Mitooma is ready. The people are ready. Tomorrow, we shall welcome the President with pride, unity, and unmatched love,” Tayebwa said, adding that the district is prepared for a robust display of NRM support.
Last week, Tayebwa revealed that over 3,000 boda bodas, each equipped with helmets, will be deployed to welcome the President.
He also confirmed that he will provide meals, transport, and T-shirts for attendees at the campaign rally.
