Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament Francis Zaake Butebi has officially launched his campaign, asking residents to renew his mandate for another five-year term in the forthcoming elections.

Addressing supporters at Kabule playground in Mityana Municipality, Zaake said he is seeking re-election to continue strengthening key sectors such as health, education, and infrastructure.

He was accompanied by several party leaders, including the Deputy President for Buganda region, Muwanga Kivumbi, and all party flag bearers from Mityana District.

Zaake told the crowd that his focus remains on consolidating work already undertaken in the municipality and pushing for better services that directly address community needs.

“I am here once again to ask for your trust,” he said.

“We have made progress, but there is still much more to do. I want to continue improving our health facilities, strengthening education, and ensuring that our roads are in good condition.”

He urged voters to remain united and to elect leaders who prioritise development and accountability.

Speaking about his plans, Zaake said the next five years would be dedicated to elevating service delivery across all sectors.

“My pledge is simple: service, transparency, and unwavering commitment to the people of Mityana,” he added. “Together, we can build a municipality we are all proud of.”

A total of nine candidates are contesting for the position of Member of Parliament for Mityana Municipality, and residents are anticipating a vibrant campaign season as Zaake joins the race for the seat.
