Mbabazi's boy, Luzindana, eats big; appointed director of Commonwealth Vocational University

Luzindana Adam Buyinza, the NRM Poor Youth Patron and confidant of former premier Amama Mbabazi has  been appointed Resident Director of Commonwealth Vocational University of the Republic of Tonga.

Luzindana is the chief executive officer of Public Opinions International an agency working towards attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

He rose to prominence in 2014 when he led the NRM Poor Youth as it's supreme leader and challenged the leadership of President Museveni.

In 2016 elections, he backed the presidential candidature of Amama Mbabazi who lost to Museveni.

Outside of politics, he is a businessman and manages Buyinza Group Ltd which is involved in processing and distribution of natural products.

The Commonwealth Vocational University (CVU) is a 21st Century new age learning institution providing specialist knowledge and quality education programs in a varied range of disciplines.

It is the premier institution of higher learning across the Kingdom of Tonga, in the South Pacific Ocean. The university was issued certificate of incorporation on 20th August 2014 and the charter was approved on 13th November 2014..

Prof Riu Ranjan Sinha, the chancellor of CVU said Luzindana will coordinate nomination and identification of Ugandans to be considered for honorary doctorates.

"Luzindana as been a resourceful person to us especially here in India and other Asian nations where he has participated in policy initiations and planning hence leading to worthwhile ventures including the successful India African summit of 2017, the formation of Asia-Africa Knowledge Consortium," said Prof Riu Ranjan.

Luzindana was born on 7th July 1982 in a predominantly peasantry family in Butakoola village in Kayunga and rose through hardship to study Bachelor of Secretarial Studies at Makerere University.
