Ruparelia Foundation hosts Christmas party for underprivileged children

The Ruparelia Foundation yesterday hosted more than 600 underprivileged kids to a christmas party at Kampala Parents School.

The children were drawn from the various slums of Kampala.

Naiya Ruparelia, a trustee of the foundation, said the initiative is aimed at ensuring that underprivileged children are recognised and given love.

She said the foundation next year plans to hold a number of social corporate responsibility activities including environmental conservation, wildlife conservation and education among others.

She said the foundation recognises the importance of education  in transforming communities and the entire development of the country.

She challenged other companies to emulate their example and give back to the needy communities.

Naiya commended the companies that partnered with the foundation to make the Kids Christmas party a success.

They include: Lato Milk, Kabira Country Club,Pepsi, The Dawa Foundation, Kampala Parents School, Victoria University and Unilever.
