Chameleone denies Shs11m debt, says he is not yet broke (Video)

Singer Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleone has denied owing any money to a mechanic attached to Kasim Auto Spare parts for the repair of his aged Escalade car.

A mechanic came up recently claiming that the singer refused to clear an outstanding bill of Shs11m accrued from repairs on his jalopy.

The mechanic said that the singer handed over the car for installation of a new gearbox, computer and programming systems, fuel nozzle, plugs as well as vehicle interior.

He said that on concluding the job, he handed the car to the singer but Chameloene declined to pay.

Jose Chameleone now says that he has not been in contact with any mechanic regarding the repair of his escalade. He also denies that the escalade is in bad shape.

“My cars are every expensive, I have a Benz, BMW, Escalade. These cars can’t leave this place without their documents. I have one mechanic I trust and is in charge of all my vehicle needs. So I don’t know that person claiming they demand Shs11m,” he said.

“Besides, I am aware people are going to bring up so many things because of who I am now in politics. I am not broke as people put it out there. You can see it for yourselves. I bought new lights from the USA for the escalade. With all the 8 cars I drive whichever car I want. Otherwise, if I had 8 hands I would drive all of them,” he added.
