At least four hundred and ninety three graduands will receive their certificates and diplomas in nursing and midwifery at Kampala University School of Nursing and Midwifery – Mutundwe.

Speaking at the press conference early this morning, the Vice Chancellor Kampala University Prof Badru Kateregga congratulated them upon the achievement.

He warned the graduands against unprofessional practice as they embark on their careers. He urged them to remember that medicine is not just a job but a calling.

“It is so annoying and disgracing that some are tough and rude to patients, others neglect patients whose pockets that are not warm enough.  We hear that some even do take government drugs to their private hospitals and drug shops. We condemn this in the strongest terms possible,” Prof Kateregga said.

He said that, "We call upon the relevant authorities in charge to take actions against such characters for the safety of our people because because every life counts."
