King Michael show flopped because he has nothing to sing, not because of NRM association- Museveni advisor

Presidential advisor on media issues, Joseph Tamale Mirundi has dismissed claims by long faded singer Michael Mugwanya alias King Micheal and allegations from other socialites that the artiste’s terribly flopped show recently was because of his association with the ‘unpopular ruling NRM party’.

Stating that the NRM is very popular on the contrary, Mirundi claimed that King Michael’s show flop should be credited to the singer’s personal failures and not those of the party.

“There is an artiste whose show flopped and then he went claiming that his association with the National Resistance Movement was the reason behind all this. How many songs has he sung abut the NRM? Who knows him?” Mirundi posed.

“Such people should instead look at what personal efforts they injected in making their show a success. What does he sing? How much money did he personally sink in promoting his show through advertising?”

Mirundi claimed tat the likes of King Michael want to use the same card and run to president Museveni to seek financial bailout citing public animosity towards them for allegedly supporting the party he heads.

“He now wants to be taken to the president for money, that his event flopped so the president should give him money,” Mirundi said.

Mirundi used an example of Salim Uhuru, who sits of the NRM’s leadership committee, always puts on a yellow shirt and yet he owns a restaurant in the city, but has never failed to get customers.

“Uhuru (Salim) is a leader in the party, and he has a restaurant selling Pilawu Rice, have you seen it empty?” Mirundi reasoned.
