The state minister for Works and Transport Gen Katumba Wamala has said some wild animals are better than human beings because they cannot kill a person when they are satisfied.

Gen Wamala made the remarks in connection with the increasing murders in the country noting that people are killing each other for materialistic things.

"Some wild animals are actually proving to better than us because a lion cannot kill you until it’s hungry and when it is satisfied it passes you, “he said.

He noted that there is no reason whatsoever why people should kill one another over materialistic things.

“We are killing them over materialistic things. We shall not die with those things. We shall leave them here in the world. What do we really want?”he asked.

He made the remarks when officiating the fundraising of the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Makerere over the weekend.

“When you see what is in the news these days and what we hear is worrying. It leaves you wondering whether we are still God’s people," he said.

He urged people to respect and fear God other turning to something else which will end up ruining the country.

On the issues of land, he noted that is unfair for the rich who have all most everything to evict people from their land without proper compensation.

“You evict over 100, 500 people on the piece of land. Look at such kind of hearts. You will not be buried with all that land. Please check yourselves and turn to the right way," he counselled.
