Speaking to the Nile Post, Brenda Nanyonjo confirmed the visit.

"Yes, we invited Miss World to come here for the first time and I think its the right time to invite her," Brenda said in part.

Brenda told Nile Post that the Miss World will take part in Miss Uganda foundation's "Beauty with a purpose" project and crown the 2019 Miss Uganda beauty queen at the grand finale.

" Miss Uganda foundation has been having a project that we are involved in and fighting teenage pregnancies, clean water among others. So we will do some thing with her, she will visit some tourist attractions here, pay a visit to State house and of course attend the grand finale," Brenda confirmed to the Nile Post.

Created in 1951, The Miss World beauty pageant is one of the oldest pageants that are still in existence.

At the 2018 edition of the pageant, Uganda's Quiin Abenakyo made history when she became the first Ugandan representative to be among the top five contestants.

She came back home with a title of Miss World Africa having finished as a second runner up, behind Miss World Vanessa Ponce and Thailand's Nicole Limsnukan in an event that was held in Sanya, China.
