Former Spain and Arsenal star Jose Antonio Reyes was reportedly involved in a tragic car accident
The 35-year-old was involved in a serious car accident in Utreta on Saturday.
Sevilla, where Reyes had two spells, confirmed the tragic news: "We couldn't be confirming worse news. Beloved Sevilla star José Antonio Reyes has died in a traffic collision. Rest in peace."
Reyes spent three seasons at Arsenal between 2004 and 2007, having arrived halfway through the club's Invincibles season.
Reyes also enjoyed spells with Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Espanyol.
He won 21 caps for Spain and was playing for second-tier Extremadura last term.
