Addressing the media at the party headquarters in Kampala, Mao said Ugandans should not lose the focus basing on opinion polls noting that they are like a snap shot

“Opinion polls are like a photograph. If I photograph this room now and I photograph it at 2pm, there will be different pictures that is what opinion polls are like,”he said.

Mao said although he has not yet read the detailed report there is no use of opinion polls if political environment has not changed.

Mao said their focus is to reform the environment in which politics is played.

He said: "Many people I speak to more especially the middle class and the educated class say that it is useless to go and vote since results are already predetermined".

In the same way Mao stated that there is need for electoral reforms before general elections are held in 2021.
