Presidential advisor Moses Byaruhanga dragged into Bugerere land dispute

The family of the late George William Kibalama have appealed to the land commission inquiry to help them retrieve their land that sits on over 1000 acres in Bugerere, Kayunga district among other areas from fraudsters that have connived with government officials and family members.
Kibalama's 35-year-old grandson Joshua Kamulegeya appeared before the commission. Kamulegeya was before the court to challenge the administration of the late George William Kibalama's estate by their older brother a one Samuel Kibalama. The younger Kibalama allegedly assumed the powers after the death of the heir Patrick Kikulwe.
The family trusted the younger Kibalama with the land titles in question since he was the LC1 chairman and a relative.
Kamulegeya said that through forgery, the younger Kibalama changed the titles into his names. He then proceeded to sell off the land to Prime Properties owned by businessman Ruta Ngambwa. Portions of the land were also sold to to Vicent Nyenzimana and 154 acres to Moses Byaruhanga, an advisor to the President of Uganda among others.
The land sits on block 123 plot 116 on 104acres, block 56 plot 1 on 230 acres, block 126 plot 1060 on 320 acres and block 48 plot 8 on 134acres all in Bugerere.
Ssentongo was declared dead by his own brother in order to sell the land
Kamulegeya went on to add that the younger Kibalama proceeded to have another brother of theirs named Godfrey Ssentongo declared dead so he could use his photos to fraudlently sell other pieces of land that had been entrusted to him. Ssentongo was present at the probe.
The family has tried seeking help from the police, courts of law and the Ministry of Lands in vain. Caveats placed on the land were instead ignored .
