LOP visits MP Zaake in Gulu Prison

The Leader of Opposition in Parliament Betty Aol Ochan yesterday visited the remanded Mityana Municipality MP Zaake Francis at Gulu Main Prison where he was remanded on Friday on charges of treason.

Aol condemned the way Zaake was arrested and said police ought to do better while arresting suspects.

She said said Zaake is in a dire need of medication and looks weak.

She called upon the judiciary to ensure a speedy trial of the treason case saying the opposition lawyers are working round the clock to have Zaake granted bail.

The MP was remanded on February 22 to Gulu Main prison until 14 of March when he will appear before a high court judge. He is also ex pected to , The Arua 35 will report back to court on 7th of March for the same treason case
