Uganda Police bus disappears while on duty in Kampala

The
Uganda Police are hunting for one of their busses which is said to have gone
missing while in Kampala on Sunday.
According
to a memo by police director of engineering and logistics,
Godfrey Bangirana, the bus was last seen Sunday at 1:00am along the northern bypass,
but it has since gone missing as well as the driver who was in it.
“Be informed that Police Bus Reg No: UP 5484,
Higar make, Police Blue (color) has gone missing. It was last seen on night of Sunday
23/12/2018 at around 0100 hours along the Northern Bypass, Kampala,” the memo
reads in part.
According to Bangirana, the bus was being driven
by a one Corporal Mwase, but his phones have since gone off and can’t be
reached for days.
“If seen, impound the vehicle, arrest occupants
and inform police head of operation…” Bangirana notes.
Police Director of Operations, Asuman Mugenyi
just recently announced that a group of terrorists were planning to use the
busy festive season to launch attacks on Ugandans and in particular the Police
Headquarters in Naguru.
