Zaake was stopped from flying out last week by police claiming he wanted to escape from justice. The legislator has been in hospital for the last three weeks and his condition remains critical.

He wrote the police statement from his hospital bed made at Kiruddu hospital where he has been confined since last week.

His compatriot, Robert Kyagulanyi (aka  Bobi Wine), left the country on Friday after being examined by doctors. Kyagulanyi is in the United States.
