Mugaga and Ssewagude may have never imprinted their names in Uganda’s music industry but the brand they carried as Da Twinz is one that many who were around in the late 2000s will remember without any hassle.

Da Twinz as they were known then rolled out series of songs that got Ugandans grooving. It is at the height of their popularity that they summoned Goodlyfe crew to their base in UK for a collabo.

A visibly young Weasel and an even younger Radio would later be seen at Da Twinz studios in UK spitting out lyrics to a song that would be called Dembesa.

Now called Ganda Boys, Mugagga and Ssewagude have released a tribute for the slain Radio in which they reveal a number of things including a long conversation with the deceased.

The Ganda Boys say that while in the UK, Radio shocked them with the the speed he used to write the lyrics to the Dembesa song.

They say they admired the way the deceased would switch languages, from Luganda to English, then to Swahili, all with so much ease and speed. They claim the singer was so down to earth and he always asked for advice on how to make it to the top.

Indeed, in the video, Radio is heard telling one of them that they should not stop working together.

“We need to continue working together, who knew we would come to the UK?” Radio asks.

However, Mugagga says that he used much of the time with them to advise Radio and his colleague against the use of drugs and alcohol.

“They asked for intoxicants while we were still working, we gave them but I strongly advised them to remain sober in their lives, to keep off these things (drugs and alcohol).

The Ganda Boys are a UK-based, African fusion band. Its members include Ugandan singers Denis Mugagga and Dan Sewagudde, along with UK musician, arranger, record producer, and film composer Craig Pruess.
